In addition to normal overhead associated with maintaining an in-house repair facility, our technicians attend continuing education courses and seminars to improve their skills and keep abreast of current trends and techniques in the repair industry. The current minimum shop charge is $25. String Instruments top String repairs are typically quoted on an hourly basis. Repairs listed here are representative of our capabilities. String replacement and tune - Shop Minimum plus materials Violin/Cello Bridge replacement - $15-25 plus materials Minor crack repairs - Quote only Soundpost setup or refit - Shop minimum plus materials Electric guitar neck alignment and set-up. Adjust nut, bridge and saddle, string voicing. General and miscellaneous parts replacement (i.e. Pick-ups, Pick guards, Jack plates) Troubleshoot wiring and misc. Electronics repairs Hourly basis Major structural and fretwork repairs are typically subcontracted to a local luthier Quote only *Professional instruments are typically 10-20% higher due to specialty parts and additional mechanisms.
